Course Content:-

 

Health and Safety Session         

Risk Assessment            Carry out pre-operational risk assessment.

 

Pre-Operational Checks to include:-       Wheels and Tyres, rams and pipes, controls, brakes, power take off, towing hitch etc.

 

Manoeuvring                Drive tractor through obstacle course, using forward and reverse gears. Drive the tractor around the area, laden and unladen, over uneven ground, low headroom, using wide and unbalanced loads

 

Alignment                     Reverse tractor and align with towing hitch on the trailer. Couple tractor to the trailer and connect all services.

 

Attachments                 Inspect all attachments to be used and ensure correct guarding of PTO shaft. Operate any attachment within the limits and guidelines specified by the manufacturer. Remove and clean any attachments used.

 

End of Shift                   Park tractor and leave safe and secure.
