Aim:

The aim of this training is to provide candidates with the necessary skills, and knowledge to safely use and inspect ladders and steps.

Objectives:

On completion of the course candidates will be able to: understand statutory legislation including employer and user responsibilities, understand he important of risk management, understand standards and ladder classifications, understand how to use ladders and steps safely, inspect and take care of ladders and steps.

·      Work at Height 2005

·      Risk Management and Hazards

·      Selection of work equipment

·      Standards and Classification

·      Use of Ladders and Steps

·      Pre-Use checks by user

·      Detailed inspection of Ladders and Steps

·      Record keeping of Inspections

·      Handling, storage and maintenance

·      Theory test and practical assessment
