Introduction

Learn the basics of non-professional chainsaw operation with this assessed training course.

This ITA course is not suitable for a Professional User.

Overview in brief

For professional chainsaw operators working in forestry and arboriculture the industry

recommendation is that for ’high risk‘ activities (paragraph 137 PUWER ACOP) the minimum

level of adequacy of training is to a certificate of competence or nationally recognised

qualification where assessment is carried out independently of the training, therefore this course

is not suitable for professional chainsaw users.

This is a hands-on course that delivers both practical skills and health and safety guidance.

We keep the training groups small so that

you'll receive plenty of individual attention

from our experienced instructors throughout

the process.

Ideal if you're working on farms, in woodland,

on building sites or in conservation, you'll gain

the expertise needed to use and maintain a

chainsaw.

You'll also learn how to keep yourself

protected every step of the way.
